TRAILER · TILT

Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 20, 2026

TrailerTilt is built by an independent developer. The app is designed to keep your data on your own devices. There is no TrailerTilt server, no analytics platform, and no third-party tracking SDKs.

Data we collect

None. TrailerTilt does not transmit any personal information to a server we operate. We have no account system, no login, and no telemetry pipeline.

The app does store information on your device and, if you are signed in to iCloud, in your private iCloud database. That data is only readable by you on devices signed in to your Apple ID.

What is stored on your device

If iCloud is signed in on your device, Sites and Rigs sync through CloudKit private database under your Apple ID. Apple operates that infrastructure under their own privacy terms; we cannot read it.

If iCloud is signed out, the data stays local to that device only.

Permissions TrailerTilt requests

PermissionWhy we ask
Motion & FitnessRead tilt from the device's accelerometer and gyroscope. This is the core leveling feature.
Location (When In Use)Tag and re-find your saved sites. Coordinates are stored locally and (if signed in) synced via your private iCloud. We do not stream location anywhere else.
Local NetworkDiscover and pair with a nearby iPad or Mac running TrailerTilt so it can act as a big-screen display. Pairing is per-session and uses Apple Multipeer Connectivity over your local Wi-Fi only.
CameraTake a photo to attach to a saved site.
Photo LibraryChoose an existing photo to attach to a site, or save a site photo back to your library.
NotificationsOptional "settling re-check" reminder fires once after you reach level. You can disable this in Settings.

You can revoke any of these at any time in iOS Settings → TrailerTilt.

What we do not do

Optional crash and performance diagnostics may be collected by Apple via MetricKit and shared with the developer through Apple's standard developer reporting. This data is aggregated and tied to your device/OS only if you have opted in to "Share With App Developers" in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

Children's privacy

TrailerTilt is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above changes and the new version replaces this one. Material changes will be called out in the app's release notes.
